AX

New design discipline emerging around Agent Experience (AX): preview patterns, override controls, and autonomy balance. Frames agents as 'unsupervised interns' — high-potential, high-risk collaborators that require thoughtful oversight interfaces.

The philosophical foundation for design in the agentic era: the discipline moves from designing fixed UIs to designing generative, adaptive systems that agents produce. AX (Agent Experience) becomes the core design discipline — designers now design the systems that design the outputs.
