About Disco Moose

Curating the signal in a world of noise.

Why We Built This

The internet doesn't need another exhaustive list of design tools. It needs better lists.

Most design resource directories follow the same pattern: start with good intentions, accept every submission, never remove outdated content, and eventually become overwhelming graveyards of abandoned projects and broken links.

Disco Moose exists to be the opposite. We believe in quality over quantity, signal over noise, and curation over collection.

Our Curation Philosophy

We don't list every tool. We list the right tools.

Every resource on Disco Moose must meet our standards:

  • Battle-tested: We prioritize tools that real designers use in production. No experiments or alpha releases unless they're genuinely exceptional.
  • Actively maintained: We regularly check every resource and remove dead links, abandoned projects, and outdated content. If it stops being useful, it gets removed.
  • Worth your time: Every entry must offer genuine value. No filler, no duplicates, no "me-too" products that don't bring something unique to the table.
  • Well-documented: We favor resources with clear documentation, good support, and active communities. You shouldn't need to reverse-engineer how to use it.

Currently, we've curated 332+ resources across design tools, UI kits, icon libraries, typography, color palettes, and inspiration sources.

Who Curates This

Disco Moose is maintained by designers and developers who care deeply about craft, tooling, and the design community. We use these resources ourselves in real projects, and we're constantly on the lookout for emerging tools worth sharing.

This isn't a passive aggregator or algorithm-driven list. Every resource is hand-picked, evaluated, and maintained by humans who understand the design process.
